While  statistically subtracting will show converted success , it's worth mentioning I'm not factoring in players letting other players down in pursuit of scoring in these statistics, so you're getting converted value, not full value. Skaters:   (Great setup, player whiffs. Player scores, Blue line infraction, No goal/etc) Goalies:   (Screens, Bad Turnovers, Breakaways/etc)  I should also point out that  not all goals and assists are equal in difficulty or involvement in the play.
